About UaiLibras
UaiLibras was born with the purpose of turning inclusion into reality. Our mission is to offer Libras and accessibility courses that bring Deaf and hearing people closer together, breaking communication barriers and promoting equal opportunities for everyone. More than teaching, we believe in the power of community. We work side by side with Deaf people, ensuring that every piece of content is built with protagonism, respect and representation. Our team is driven by the passion to create a more accessible world, where Libras is present in schools, companies, events and people's everyday lives. At UaiLibras, every class, project and action is designed to strengthen Deaf culture and expand the visibility of this community. Our commitment is to teach with quality, support diversity and contribute to a more inclusive, fair and welcoming society.
Founders
Born in Belo Horizonte, Eduardo Lacerda has always had a careful eye for social issues. His passion for letters and the arts led him to find in Libras the perfect tool to unite his creativity with his desire to make a difference. With his creativity and social perspective, Eduardo Lacerda has used Libras as a channel to promote inclusion and accessibility. Since 2016, he has devoted himself tirelessly to learning and improving his knowledge of this language, seeking to build a more accessible world. On the other side of the state, in the city of Campina Verde, Eduardo Rodrigo cultivated the dream of becoming a teacher. At age 14, he moved to Belo Horizonte in search of new opportunities and, after graduating in Pedagogy, discovered in Libras a way to transform his classes and connect with his students in a more accessible way. Fate brought these two young people passionate about sign language together in 2018. From that meeting, a sincere friendship was established, further strengthening their shared desire to promote inclusion and accessibility. Together, they followed a path filled with challenges and achievements, inspiring other people to learn Libras and build a fairer and more equal future for everyone. That is how UaiLibras emerged.
